This mount is very rudimentary designed. I have to say that it appears to have been a underwhelming attempt. It works, but just enough to say it’s a mount; virtually zero adjustability and durability. I’m going to design my own to replace it in the near term.

As an engineer, it's a simplistic solution, not over designed. I would suggest that the bracket be painted black to match the solar array.

While I LOVE my Spartan cameras and will continue buying them, these aluminum brackets are terrible. The holes network out quickly and will no longer hold the solar panel. Be prepared to buy spares.

I believe the angle of the sun would give the solar panel more juice so to say if it was put at a 45 degree angle towards the sun mounting bracket. T post.
