Designed to assist in solar charging select Spartan Cameras, the corrosion-resistant Spartan Battery Box is made to contain our Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) 12V Battery (sold separately). The battery box has a 5 ft (1.52 m) nature-resistant output cord, voltage regulator, and power surge protection. The LED battery meter and a push-button status display keep you conveniently informed on the internal state of your power source.

We run several cameras at a time and go through AA batteries like crazy. The poorer the cell service, the faster the batteries seem to drain. So, we purchased a couple of 12v batteries and their boxes from Spartan, and it's made a huge difference! When the AA's were nearing dead, the camera would still take photos and videos, but did not have enough oomph to transmit them. The 12v and the boxes solved our problems.

So far, so good. We captured some images of four dogs, presumably belonging to trespassers, on camera. Having the backup power sources is being a big help.
