It plugged into the camera. Apparently you need to buy a second cable to hook up to the quarter inch flat terminals on the battery. Which did not come with it..

Power Cables Save Batteries
This a great and inexpensive way to hook up a 6 volt battery to the camera to save on buying 12 packs of AA batteries. I wish Spartan would not use the USPS. It took forever for my package to arrive.
